Partnerships

As part of our efforts to recruit and retain Black educators of color, MEC has partnered with Black Lives Matter Philly on the Black Educators Fellowship. This micro grant allows educators (which includes paraprofessionals) of color to bring programming, supplies, or education focused activities to classrooms and education spaces around the city of Philadelphia.

MEC has partnered with IPD (Indigenous Peoples' Day Philly, Inc.) in an effort to build allyship with "Native Americans / American Indians / Indigenous Peoples" in the city. Within that capacity, we will work with IPD Philly (Indigenous Peoples' Day Philly, Inc.) members to assist with curriculum development, workshops and other events.

MEC has partnered with BARWE through an accountability framework. Within that capacity, we review the amazing work they put together for their monthly inquiry series and offer feedback and suggestions. In addition, we've also co-facilitated various events with them.
